Democratic Republic of Congo’s honorary former president Joseph Kabila has returned home after spending almost a year abroad.
Sources have exclusively revealed that Kabila landed back in Kinshasa amidst harassments of his family and unjust arrests of political allies by the Fèlix Tshisekedi government.
Tshisekedi has accused Kabila of allegedly taking up arms against his government and supporting the M23 Rebels and Congo River Alliance.
Armed soldiers were last month sent to Kabila’s late father and former president, Laurent-Désiré Kabila’s Foundation where they seized the hearse which carried the remains of the ex-president before.
The government has also took in Kabila’s twin sister Jaynet for questioning which lasted hours before withdrawing workers from Kabila’s official residence in Kinshasa also at the order of Tshisekedi.
Despite the aggression and hostilities against his family and loyalists, Kabila has maintained total silence while out for his academics in Namibia and South Africa.
However, sources reveal that Kabila has returned to Kinshasa prepared to defend his family and allies from Tshisekedi and his government’s aggressions.
