Jumia Black Friday to run from 4th to 30th November 2022

Millions of consumers are expected to log on to the Jumia App to leverage online sales. This is the company’s 7th Black Friday, which aims to support businesses by reaching more consumers on the platform.

Jumia Black Friday will be in partnership with Transsion Holdings (Infinix, TECNO & itel) as Platinum sponsors and other brand partners like Vision Plus, Xiaomi, Beefeater, Nivea, Garnier, and Gordons.

“This year’s Black Friday is unique given the challenging business environment for our sellers as difficult economic times persist. We are grateful to the thousands of Kenyan businesses participating in this event and their efforts to offer the best deals to consumers. This also re-affirms Jumia’s commitment to the future of online retail in Kenya,” said Juan Seco, Jumia Kenya CEO.

The annual sales event, which was initiated in Kenya in 2015 by Jumia, continues to gain popularity amongst Kenyans. Such campaigns have largely contributed to the adoption of e-commerce countrywide through massive awareness.

“We are happy to be part of this year’s Jumia Black Friday, where consumers can expect great deals on our latest products which include TECNO, Infinix, and itel brands”, said Ray Fang, Transsion Holdings’ Kenya Regional MD.

Banks, notably Standard Chartered, I&M, and ABSA, have partnered with Jumia during this Black Friday to offer incentives through card payments. In addition, consumers will also enjoy a 20% discount for payments made through Mastercard cards.

Among the top discounts will be a 14–seater matatu retailing for only 100 bob! To kick off the campaign, Jumia will go Live with ‘Deal za soo’ (Buy for Ks100) on 3rd November at 11:59 PM with products like TV, phones, Fridges, cooking oil, and water dispensers.

Jumia Black Friday will run from 4th to 30th November 2022.
