Lionel Richie, who co-wrote the song, referred to Jones as ‘the master orchestrator.’ However, Jones is perhaps best remembered for his collaborations with Michael Jackson. His innovative approach played a crucial role in transforming Jackson from a child star into the ‘King of Pop.’
Together, they created iconic tracks like ‘Billie Jean’ and ‘Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough,’ blending elements of disco, funk, rock, pop, R&B, jazz and African influences.
