Premier League: Keith Hackett ranks every top-flight referee so far this season
The standard of refereeing in the Premier League has been the subject of much discussion so far this season.
Barely a round of fixtures goes by without some form of officiating controversy, with VAR sometimes appearing to cause more issues than it solves.
Former Premier League official Keith Hackett was a FIFA list referee for a decade during his own career, officiating hundreds of top-flight matches.

And that’s exactly what the former boss of the Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOL) did in his most recent column for The Telegraph.
Before ranking each of the 19 individuals to have taken charge of a Premier League game so far this season, Hackett weighed in with some general commentary on the state of top-flight officiating.
