At the opening of the event organized by JE and Forbes Africa Lusophone, N’Gunu Tiny highlighted that the challenge lies in “addressing the business environment in Angola from a macro perspective.”
The Doing Business Angola 2024 event, which takes place this Tuesday in Lisbon, aims to discuss the country’s business environment from a macro perspective, as stated by N’Gunu Tiny, founder of the Media9 group.
In this second edition of DBA, promoted by Forbes Africa Lusophone and the Economic Journal, we will look at Angola’s potential as a gateway to the SADC region, analyze the role that infrastructure such as the Lobito Corridor and the new Luanda airport might play. We will also examine economic prospects and address the challenges of tourism and hospitality in Angola.
N’Gunu Tiny pointed out that the challenge involves “addressing the business environment in Angola from a macro perspective, analyzing the transport sector as a link to the regional economy.” Citing the growth of Angola’s GDP (which recently increased from 14 billion dollars to 70 billion dollars), he highlighted how new infrastructure can further leverage the Angolan economy.
“The Lobito Corridor and the new airport usher the country into a new era of growth, but access to markets is a major challenge for the country,” he said.
The founder of Media9 believes that “it is not an exaggeration to say that a good business environment interests everyone for economic and social growth. Here we are for the sharing of common solutions.”
