According to the new manager of Angola’s Post Office, there is a strong need to leverage services based on the improvement of technologies and a strong commitment to human capital, through actions of train the workforce.
“It is necessary to change the traditional way of acting with the introduction of new technologies. The company (Angola’s Post Office) cannot continue to operate in the traditional way, since its conception, so we need to adapt to the new times and respond to current challenges”, Ederson Sousa Machado said.
Regarding the workers’ strike, since 2022, the new manager believes that its end is already in sight, insofar as important steps have been observed in the framework of the claim booklet presented by employees.
He added that the occupational qualifier has already been assessed by the guardianship and submitted to the Ministry of Public Administration, Labour and Social Protection for its approval.
The manager of Angola’s Post Office has expressed his complete willingness to dialogue with the workers and the union, to put an end to the strike that has lasted a year.
On the occasion, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, who swore in the council, challenged the nominees to rescue the mystique of Angola’s Post Office and its economic and financial condition.
The minister said that it is necessary to bring Angola’s Post Office closer to companies and society based on modern technological services and procedures.
The board of directors appointed
Ederson Cruz de Sousa Machado as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Manuel Pedro Quizembo, Executive Director for the Marketing and Operations Area, and Verónica Evelise de Carvalho Neto da Costa, Executive Director for the Finance Area.
Also sworn in were Otoniel Bráulio da Cunha Fernandes as Executive Director for the Information and Communication Technologies Area and Claudino Marcelino Alexandre as Executive Director for Administration and General Services.
