Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo is the newest owner of Portugal’s most expensive house.
Despite enduring a difficult start to the season, Ronaldo seems to be doing fine off the pitch.
According to Marca, the veteran forward has added another asset to his multimillion array of investments.
The publication reports that the 37-year-old has bought the most expensive house in Portugal, valued at around $11 million.
Located in the region of Cascais, the villa is estimated to be worth $21 million after remodelling and all the construction.
The three-storeyed villa sits on 544 square meters and features incredible extras, including gardens and a fabulous swimming pool.
Why Ronaldo bought the villa
While it remains unclear why Ronaldo acquired the property, it is rumoured that it is part of his preparations to return to Portugal.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is reportedly planning to wind up his illustrious football career in his home country, with boyhood club Sporting Lisbon favourites to re-sign him.
